Why the Full System
01. Prepare
Pre-Construction Shampoo

Clears residue and buildup that blocks the actives from penetrating. Without this step, the chemistry can’t reach the cortex.

↵ Skipping = the conditioner works on the surface instead of inside the fiber
02. Treat
Reconstruction Conditioner

Delivers Tb-0016 and Tb-0017 into the cortex where they initiate thiol-ene click reactions and begin forming new C-S covalent bonds.

↵ This is where the reconstruction happens
03. Seal
Reconstruction Leave-In

Seals the cuticle layer, locks in the new bonds, and provides ongoing protection against future thermal and chemical stress.

↵ Without sealing, reconstruction is exposed to re-damage

The Science

New Bonds. Not Coating.

Bleach, heat, and color break the disulfide bonds inside your hair’s cortex. Most products coat the damage or temporarily fill gaps.

ANATOMY creates new covalent C-S bonds through thiol-ene click chemistry — the same class of reactions that won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Molecules Tb-0016 and Tb-0017 penetrate the fiber and rebuild from the inside.

Gen 1 (2014) Olaplex Re-links broken bonds Can only reconnect what exists
Gen 2 (2020) K18 Peptide gap-filling Fills, doesn’t structurally rebuild
Gen 3 (2024) ANATOMY® Creates new covalent bonds

    Works like magic

I'm older and going through menopause. My hair has been thinning and is damaged from years of highlights.

I've used this 4 times. It has transformed my hair. It's much thicker and soft.

The Protocol

How to use the Full Reconstruction System

Three steps. Ten minutes. Complete structural repair.

Step 1
Prepare
Wet hair. Apply Pre-Construction Shampoo to scalp and lengths. Massage 60 seconds. Rinse completely. (~2 min)
Step 2
Treat
Apply Reconstruction Conditioner mid-lengths to ends. Wait 3–5 minutes. This is when the click chemistry activates. Rinse. (3–5 min)
Step 3
Seal
Towel-dry. Apply Leave-In mid-lengths to ends. Do not rinse. Style as usual. (~1 min)
Total protocol: 6–8 minutes · Every wash · All hair types

Frequently Asked Questions

Why buy the system instead of just the leave-in?

Fair
question. The leave-in works on its own. But the 135% tensile strength number — the one from SGS Proderm, the one measured with an instrument pulling hair fibers until they snap — that was measured using all three products together.

Here's why: the shampoo clears the path so the actives can penetrate. The conditioner delivers the click chemistry into the cortex. The leave-in seals it. Each step makes the next one work harder. You can buy the leave-in alone and get real results. The full protocol is what the clinical data is based on.

How is this different from Olaplex or K18?

Different chemistry. Olaplex re-links broken disulfide bonds — it reconnects what was already there. K18 uses a bioactive peptide to fill in gaps along the polypeptide chain. ANATOMY does something neither of them do: it creates newcovalent bonds that didn't exist before. The molecules — Tb-0016 and Tb-0017 — use thiol-ene click chemistry to snap into place at broken sites and form new C-S bonds. That's why it won the Nobel Prize. Not because it's a marketing term — because the reactions are so precise they work every single time.

What does '135% tensile strength increase' actually mean?

It means a lab in Hamburg — SGS Proderm, an independent testing facility — took bleached hair fibers, applied the full ANATOMY protocol, then clamped each fiber in a tensile testing machine and pulled until it broke. Untreated bleached hair broke at 15.2 cN of force. Treated hair held to 35.8 cN. That's a 135% increase in the force required to break the fiber. Not a consumer panel.

Not a survey. A machine measuring physical force on a single strand.

How quickly will I see results?

Most people notice easier detangling and better slip within the first few uses.

That's real — the fiber surface is already changing. But structural rebuilding accumulates over repeated applications. The click reactions form more bonds each time. For a fair evaluation, commit to the full protocol through your first set of washes. Follow the wait time on the conditioner. Don't rush Step 2.

Does it work on my hair type?

Yes. Disulfide bonds are the structural framework of keratin — every human hair fiber has them, regardless of texture. Straight, wavy, curly, coily. When they break from bleach, heat, or chemical processing, the damage mechanism is identical. The reconstruction chemistry doesn't care about your curl pattern.

It finds broken bonds and builds new ones.

Is it safe for color-treated hair?

Yes. Aminalyl-S and Pro-Amino-X target damaged bond sites, not color pigment. The shampoo is sulfate-free. Your color stays. Your bonds get rebuilt.

Why does the conditioner need 3–5 minutes?

Because chemistry takes time. The thiol-ene click reactions need to find the broken bond sites, orient correctly, and form new covalent connections. It's not like a regular conditioner that coats the surface in 30 seconds. The molecules are working inside the fiber. Three minutes is the minimum for the reaction kinetics. Five minutes is better. This is the single most important step in the protocol — don't shortcut it.
